I attended UCLA where I received a B.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Film and Screenwriting. After graduation, I collaborated with my husband, Ivan Rothberg, on numerous screenplays and succeeded in optioning many. I went on to work in the Hollywood film industry as an Editor’s Guild story analyst and worked for most of the major studios, including 15 years at Disney Pictures in Burbank. As a story analyst, I read and evaluated thousands of screenplays and books, which was good preparation for being a writer. Belatedly, at the prompting of my younger daughter, Shaina Rothberg, I turned to novel writing, and we wrote our first of many books together, Princess Death. In my spare time, I'm an avid amateur astrologer and employ astrology in a number of my novels. I live in a lovely SoCal suburb with my husband and family, including five wily cats, many of which make cameo appearances in our ensuing novels.

I attended Chapman College in Orange, California where I received a B.A. in Digital Arts, Art Direction, and Animation. As a child, I drew constantly and was mesmerized by manga and anime, as well as animated films, especially the Disney Princess movies. While art and animation were my first loves, I have always had many ideas for stories of all kinds from fantasy to horror. In collaboration with my mother, Jeanne Grandilli, I wrote my first novel, Princess Death, and plan to write many more.
